Kit Tree House & Molly items retiring **UPDATED**

I just received an email from my PS. She confirmed the exact same list of Molly retirements we received here from Lisa's PS the other day, and at the bottom was typed, "Also Kit's Tree House outfit."

ETA: I just compared the list again, and my list does not include Molly's bed. I will reply to confirm whether it's on the way out or not.

She also mentioned all of the items are still available in Chicago.

Bummer. Kit's Treehouse Outfit is super-cute! I hope anyone without this outfit chooses to snatch it up quickly!

Ok, in all fairness, I guess it should have been expected since it's another Short Stories outfit.

How long do y'all think it will be before they retire all these things? They must understand that most of us can't just go immediately buying things like that.

I received a response from Ingrid. She said they are uncertain on the bed; she feels there WILL be a bed for Molly, but is unsure if it will be the current bed or a new one. She said she'd keep my posted on any new details.

As far as when these items are disappearing, I gathered from her original email that these items are gone once the current stock (from stores & catalog) is gone.

I bet AG will revise Molly's bed. Her bed design has some flaws from the reviews on this board. Apparently, it is not as well made and the girls can't really get under the covers like the other beds. Maybe they will make a better bed for Emily and Molly.

Maybe they are planning new bedding that goes with the existing headboard but has a wider appeal? That would make sense, and would explain the confusion. The bed is being "retired", but only to change the bedding? This is only speculation of course.

ETA: I was looking at the construction of Molly's bed and I decided I don't really want it. For the price, Josefina's bed is MUCH nicer. I may build a knockoff of Molly's bed in differant colors because it is a cute style, just NOT cute enough for $40.

I have to agree that of all the beds, Molly's is the least well made and for the reasons already mentioned here. I wouldn't mind AG bringing out a new bed. I just don't want them to do anything to change Molly fundamentally.
